8K a year JOB SUMMARY The Multimedia Coordinator is responsible for producing and coordinating content for designated diocesan communication platforms.
This position is an extension of the bishop's Ministry.
The incumbent must have a willingness and ability to support the Mission of the Universal and Local Roman Catholic Church.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Produce content including video, audio, still photography and written content for diocesan communication platforms (website, podcast, social media, etc.
).
Schedule content for individual channels and coordinate shared content between internal and external channels.
Develop and Coordinate communication and interaction opportunities with internal and external audiences.
Produce long-form and short-form content working both independently and in collaboration with diocesan team members, parish partners and/or independent professionals.
Coordinate and produce special internal and/or external media projects.
Generate timely data reports evaluating the performance of diocesan communication channels and media projects.
Assist in finding and researching potential stories and media projects for diocesan communication platforms.
Travel to story locations throughout the Diocese of Joliet.
Maintain and manage all equipment used in the production of media content.
Maintain current level of knowledge and skills to effectively serve in this position by attending workshops and/or classes, by networking with colleagues, monitoring industry best practices and trends, and through current professional literature.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
Advanced graphic design skills in Adobe Creative Suite software preferred.
Two (2) years of experience in social media management preferred.
Two (2) years of experience in videography and video editing preferred.
Two (2) years of experience developing web content preferred.
Knowledge of Liferay a plus.
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Understanding of the Catholic faith and terms associated with the faith.
Knowledge of journalism ethical standards, AP Style guidelines, social media and web standards.
Commitment to accuracy and thorough sourcing in all content produced.
Proficiency with social media and web analytical tools, as well as Windows, Microsoft Office, and word processing programs.
Proficiency in still photography.
Basic level of graphic design skills to produce graphics for social media videos.
Ability to develop content across multiple communication platforms.
Proactive approach to monitoring, learning, and implementing new digital technologies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Superior command of the English language and written work.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with self-motivation and creativity to find and complete assignments.
Organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments in order of high to low importance.
Effective time management skills to meet deadlines.
Keen attention to detail.
Ability to work with personnel with all levels of expertise.
Positive attitude, willingness to collaborate and team-focused commitment.
